Is this trip right for you?

  • Please ensure you consult your local government’s advice regarding domestic travel prior to booking this trip.
  • This trip is new to our range this year. And while we have thoroughly researched every detail of the logistics, new destinations and working with new partners can sometimes throw us some unexpected surprises. More often than not, it’ll be a great surprise. But every now and again there might be a hiccup. We like to think that’s what puts the ‘adventure’ in ‘adventure travel’.

Itinerary

Day 1: Jackson

Welcome to the historic town of Jackson, Wyoming, where fur trappers and frontiersmen once gathered. Depending on when you arrive, you may want to check out some of the local attractions, like the Jackson Hole Historical Society. Once you’ve done exploring the town and settled into your accommodations, join your group for a meeting at 5 pm. Afterwards, wander over to the Town Square to see the evening’s “Shoot Out” in which local actors recreate an old-time gunfight in George Washington Memorial Park. The Shootout is the longest continuously running gunfight in the U.S. and sure to be a lively show for the whole family. After the shootout, head with your group to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner and get to know the other families on your trip.

Day 2: Grand Teton National Park

After an included breakfast, spend the day with your expert guide exploring the beautiful Grand Teton National Park, one of the most stunning places in Wyoming. The Grand Teton mountain range rises above a scene rich with wildlife, pristine lakes and spectacular mountain peaks. Take a walk to Inspiration Point for outstanding views or enjoy a scenic stroll around the glacially carved Jenny Lake while gazing up in awe at the surrounding landscape. Enjoy a picnic together and maybe spot a moose or even a grizzly bear while sitting back and soaking up all that nature. The kids will love looking out for moose, elk, beaver and black bears – remind them to keep their eyes peeled! Continue on to viewing sites for buffalo and antelope herds along the Gros Ventre River and Antelope Flats.

Sit back and soak up the beauty while your expert guide rows you down the river corridor and shares stories about the area’s history. In the evening, experience an authentic chuckwagon meal at the famous Bar J Chuckwagon. In the 1800s, cowboys who rode the western range would share a meal over tall tales and music around the chuckwagon. What People are Saying

Traveled to Japan ~ East and Southeast Asia

We had a fabulous time. The hotels were great as were the tours. We enjoyed the private guides best. Every one of our private guides was fantastic and made sure that we got to do what we (Andy!) wanted to do. Our guide in Arashiyama changed things around so that Andy could go to the Monkey Park, which was not on our original itinerary, but something he decided he wanted to do. She even climbed the mountain with him after settling me in a coffee shop with a cup of coffee!! Summer, our guide in Shanghai, was fantastic, and even helped get us checked in at the airport when we left. The tours themselves were wonderful and we got a good taste of the cities we visited. Both of us are planning on returning to Japan and China again sometime in the future and I will certainly keep you in mind when the time comes. By the way, the tip that we probably appreciated the most was to fly premium economy. I don't know if we would have survived that trip if we hadn't!!

Thanks for your help!!
Kristi
